Dabbling with Leather

When out wandering with my Giraffe, we stumbled across Adelaide Leather & Saddlery. Being the curious creatures we are, couldn't help but go in for a browse. An hour and a giant bag of leather offcuts later, we returned home to have a play at leather working.

I decided that my toy dog Bella needed a new collar:

The cream hearts are attached with contact adhesive and the collar does up using velcro.

I was so pleased with the result that I made myself a matching wrist cuff:

 

The wrist cuff has a thinner end that I pull through some slits in the other end. I should probably put some velcro on instead cos it keeps falling off!

Not bad for a first go at leather, even if I do say so myself...
