The original idea was to make it box-shaped with square ends (square cuboid? I always hated geometry), but that was full of fail so I pleated the underside and folded the top flap under to make a brush holder...
The bag has already taken a lot of abuse over the past 8 months - unsurprisingly since I thought of a makeup case due to the fact that Sister Dear has a LOT of makeup - BUT it still looks nice for photos!
Not long after her birthday, I bribed Sister Dear to help me clean and organize my room. In return I would create a matching book bag. Ta Da!
Due to the ridiculously heavy scripts, books and laptop she totes around with her, I made the strap double thick to cope with the life of a budding actress, and the bag pretty to make the budding actress look good :)
